Since when did clients wear just smocks alone without changing into them? Fine, don't use capes but at least protect our shirts from the fine hair that creeps into our sweaters and sleeves. And why don't stylists like to wash the back of the head and rinse properly here? The extremely senior stylists (the ones that have been in the industry over a decade) seem to do things properly but the newer ones seem lazy and just want to get clients out quickly it seems. If I get just a smock to put on at least use a neck guard since my hair is neck length. I'm sure men clientele would appreciate the same. I don't know what's happened to Diva Chinook since I first started coming when it first opened back in the early 2000's. They're charging Aveda prices but definitely don't command it sometimes. The consistency has gone way down and stylists need a refresher on the standards Aveda salons have come accustomed to. I'll still come here for my pedicures as long as Mia is an esthetician here because she represents quality and never rushes me out. As for hair services I've lost my faith in Diva Chinook for that. It's not all about the haircut. It's about the overall experience itself as well. Having hair down my back and when offered a makeup touch up only to have a bit of powder dusted on my face is not how I've experienced Diva Chinook in the past. Onto Redbloom and Swizzlesticks then? I think so.
