| - It's rare that Phoenix has a great restaurant that California does not have. Phoenix always seems to be the step-child in terms of cuisine when it comes to dining in the southwest compared to California.
So it's quite nice that we have Pappadeaux locally to enjoy some southern food. We first came to Pappadeaux 10 years ago for fresh gulf oysters, when a friend introduced Pappadeaux to us.
We keep going back for the live crawfish during the spring. The prices have gone up since we first found this place 10 years ago, but it's so worth it for the best live crawfish in the west coast.
We come here for special events, like birthdays, celebrations, etc. The ambiance is fantastic, the service is great, and the food is delicious. The prices are on the higher side so expect to shell out more, but it's worth the cost for special occasions and live crawfish!
This place gets busy during Spring training, nice winter months, and weekends, so make a reservation or you may be waiting for a while for seating.
The only negative is we now have to wait until next spring for the crawfish again, that is a long wait!!
