| - As some others have said, where have I been? After reading some reviews I decided to head to Eddie's this past Saturday for breakfast. I arrived shortly after 11:00 and there was a line outside, which is always a good sign. I put my name in at the door, but was told if I wanted to sit at the counter I could put my name in their too, depending on what comes available first. The counter was packed, but only one person ahead of me. Within 10 minutes a spot came availbale and and Ben called me over.
The counter reminded me like Cheers, all usuals and Ben remembers everyone. He provided me with a menu, took my drink order and brought me a water. I chose the Bloody Mary which was great and I proceeded to enjoy two!
As for the food I ordered a three egg omelett, which allows for unlimited options. I chose ham, peppers, onions, mushrooms and swiss which a side of parmesan cheese grits, hash browns and a biscuit. The omelett was huge, but mainly egg, not a lot of veggies inside. The hash browns were awesome with a nice crisp top and soft in the middle. As for the biscuit, not your typical biscuit, but served fresh, hot and to my liking.
I enjoyed the company at the counter and the service, as I said Ben and the staff are on top of things, and will definitely be back. I also though the April specials looked great so I might have to check out their dinners too!
Make sure your plan for a wait or be willing to jump in at the counter if a seat of two opens up, which I thought was the way to go.
