  • I experienced two services at Donato Yorkdale today (hair cut and pedicure). Five stars for the hair cut. I had Matt ( a "new talent") and he did a great job! He was super nice and I am very pleased with the end result and experience. He asked me what my thoughts were about what I wanted, listened, and gave his input in a professional way. He didn't just blow dry it at the end but also gave me some nice styled waves. I would definitely go back to see him. Also, the price to have your hair cut by a new talent stylist is a steal - probably the best deal in the city. Two Stars for the pedicure. Their price for a pedicure rivals Civello Aveda and is not worth it. The woman performing the service was very nice, and the reason I didn't give one star, but everything else was lacking. There are two massage-type spa chairs located at the very back in what appears to be an after thought of an area (probably used to be a utility closet) sectioned off by a curtain. The paint and lighting in the area make for a dingy atmosphere and there was not a great selection of polish colours. Save your money and get your nails done elsewhere.
