| - I bought my car here 3 years ago and it was a rough experience. I've since vowed not to buy a car from them ever again. They threw a warranty on the deal and I did not want it, the finance man was even arguing with me over $20 on a car that costs $30k. After getting that all straightened out (a month of calls and stopping in) I now need service.
I have had always had mediocre experiences with their service, just ok. This last Friday I brought in the car for an oil change and the upsell machines started.
The advisor said I needed all this stuff, not true. Actually if you read the recommended ford service the items, this advisor, josh, recommended preventative maintenance that is not for several 1,000's of miles. This extra service would have been hundreds of dollars more. Then when I went and picked up the car I had to initial that I "declined" the service....what is that? I mean, it's my car, I can choose not to get his unnecessary recommendations.
Previously I had a service advisor recommend a whole new AC service. At the time the car had 10k miles. I explained to that fact to the advisor and she replied that their aftermarket stuff was better than ford freon... Really!! That's just an incentive upsell, it's a brand new car!!!!
All and all, this dealer is close to my home, but I have another dealer close to my work. I will try the other dealer next time, I hope to be done with this place.
Not sure if this is a Ford bad business or just this dealer. All I know if I never had anything but incredible service at Camelback Toyota when I had a Camry.
