  • Try being greeted for your flight with someone calling you over and not even smiling. Not even a good morning or a happy toned question as to where I'm traveling. My greeting was: "Put your check in back up here when she moves that one." While glancing at me then looking away. I think she was having a bad day. My Air Confirmation was: I8932K if anyone at Southwest is reading this. I can't recall the agent's name but I'm sure she can be discovered by seeing who checked me and my companion in. Upon handing our information over and placing the check in bag on the scale, she abruptly stated: Your bag is ONE POUND over the limit. Rules are rules and you have to take something out of your bag to get the weight in line. Otherwise I have to charge you an Excess Weight Fee (and her tone was miserable). As a former ramp agent, I was a bit appalled at how she approached me. I mentioned I was a ramp agent and her rebuttal was, "Then you know that the rules are the rules). She didn't suggest, she told me to take out a jacket or a pair of jeans and carry it on the plane with me. What's hilarious is that my bag was packed identically to how it was when I arrived in Las Vegas. Nothing more/nothing less. It was a bit of a scene with other passengers looking on. You could tell they had the expression 'I hope I don't get her for check in." Even the agent adjacent to her appeared as if she was incredulous at my agent's attitude. I wouldn't normally have a problem taking something out of my bag to meet regulations. The way the agent approached me set me off a bit. I checked in and went on my way. My flight experience didn't get off the ground nicely as it usually does with "LUV" I'm a forgiving person. Maybe she was having a terrible day, week, month, etc. I paid more to fly with LUV than Spirit Airlines, just because of my loyalties. I just would like to be treated better next time I check in - like I usually do.
