So just got back from their holiday special that includes a facial and body massage and thought it was a fantastic deal. I thought it was great that they agreed to give me a back facial instead because I did not want a reg facial (I'm a guy and have a lot of facial hair) so I was really excited about this experience...
1) regarding facial - HORRIBLE. The girl seemed new or didn't know what she was doing. She initially had no idea that they offer back facials so I had to tell her and after she checked with the front, she was cool with it. But the place has it set up for you to sit in this chair-like pod face up. It's all curved so when I laid face down, it was really uncomfortably and awkward. Water and things were dripping, felt half assed, and when I was supposed to have my eyebrows waxed, she didn't do the bottom portion of my brows. I'm a dude and I'm not expecting a thin brow at all but a "clean up" is necessary with the bushes I have. And to boot, I walked out with a burn mark in the middle of my forehead, probably from the wax. If I had to base this review on the facial alone, it would be a 1 star and that's being nice. Girl was nice but I would never recommend a facial at this place EVER. Can't imagine that experience on my face.
2) the massage - FANTASTIC. Brandon was cool and knowledgeable. Wasn't uncomfortable or awkward which I was hesitant about it being since it was a male masseuse. Has a lot of experience and you can tell. Dug deep into pressure points and even showed me great stretches to help with trouble areas.
Come here for a massage, never for a facial. (Or a back facial for that matter) i wish I just had the massage and I spent the other half of my money on a martini or two at del frescos.
