I just saw a Spencers commercial and felt compelled to post a review. I usually Yelp because I have great things to say. Unfortunately that is not the case with Spencers. I had always bought appliances at Sears before moving to Scottdale in 2013. A friend had recommended Spencers so I decided to buy local. My husband was in Afghanistan at the time so I went it alone. I purchased a Whirlpool bottom freezer refrigerator and a Frigidaire front loading washer and dryer. Around $3000 for all. I am being absolutely truthful when I write that about 13 months into the life of these appliances the refrigerator started leaking water from the bottom of the freezer, the ice maker stopped working, and the front load dryer started making a terrible noise.
I called and of course the warranties were for a year. I never buy extended warranties for appliances because honestly my past experience is that appliances last for many, many years. My husband has been disabled for two years and we have no extra money for repairs of appliances...appliances that were a little over a year old and now are three years old. So we make ice in ice trays, mop up the leaking water about once a week and deal with the loud dryer. They are all pretty though. Sorry but I am not happy and would not recommend Spencers. Bad lesson learned supporting the local vendor.
