Here's the issue: you constantly run the risk of your flight being cancelled regardless of weather or mechanical issue. I think they just do not get the business, so if their plane isn't' full, they just cancel the flight and maybe there is a next one you can get on. This is true for departing from Willard and arriving to Willard.
I've had two cases now where the flight was canceled and we had to drive to Chicago. One time the airline (only American) rented a bus and took 12 people, but of course you will miss your connecting flight because now you have a 3 hour drive (instead of a 1 hour flight) and you still have to worry about Chicago traffic, O'hare security, and you need to be there 1.5 hours early to check in (which if you flew you would have checked in down in Champaign).
If your flight takes off on time or at all, the nice thing is that you just need to be there shortly before your flight. Other than that, they would receive 1 star.
