| - Went to M Lovely to get a manicure for a wedding I was taking part in. I made an appointment with no issue, however, I had difficulty finding the place (Note: make sure you're on Charles St. WEST, not Charles St. EAST, or you will stand looking around like a lost puppy in the big city and miss your appointment trying to find the place.)
Granted I was 10 minutes late due to my unfortunate East/West confusion, however, I didn't think my nail artist should have taken a walk-in who arrived after I had already sat down and apologized for my lateness. After waiting an additional 15 minutes for the walk-in, my nail artist proceeded to tell me that the manicure would in no way last 4 days until the wedding. I don't get my nails done professionally very often, however, I find it hard to believe that anyone would pay for a service that does not last at least 5 days or more. Unfortunately, this was my only free day in a very busy week to have the manicure done, so the artist used an extra top coat, spray, and UV heater to set the nails.
The next morning, I noticed the polish had dulled and had a fabric grid mark from my bedsheets had set into the polish. Considering I went to sleep 5-6 hours after the appointment, and with the extra care to set the nails, I was very disappointed in my manicure and eventually had to apologize to the bride.
I can't speak to shellac or any other services, but in terms of a manicure I was extremely disappointed in the quality and won't be returning to this salon.
