I brought my Jeep in for a quick wash. As I drove toward the entrance of the wash I was guided on by the attendant and shown the sign that says put your car in neutral, foot off break and hands off the steering wheel. Because I paid attention to the attendant I did not see another sign saying they are not responsible for after market items and my light bar was broken. I brought this to the attention to the manager and also told him the wash didn't even go on and the curtains just dragged across the top. He acknowledged that it did not go on and gave me a refund and did an incident report and checked Super Star takes responsibility. I called there corporate office that night and left a message. I waited for a call but did not get one and called several more times to the lady's at the office and told them that I will report this to the BBB and sure enough I got a call within 45 minutes. I was told to get a quote on how much it would cost to be repaired and they told me they can attempt to repair it for $55 with no guarantee that it would work or it may cause more damage. I called the manager and told him what they said and he told me he wanted to come and see it so he did. He offered me a free $300 detail and I told him no thank you I just want the light bar replaced and that it only cost $70 and my neighbor who is a mechanic would install it for free. He said it sounded reasonable and he would talk to the owner and get back to me. He never called me so I called him and was told the owner would pay half the cost of the light bar ( $35 ) and I told them no and that I do have an incident report that your manager checked your company was responsible and he had the nerve to say that I checked that part of the incident report. Are you serious!!! I will be making a report with the BBB tomorrow.
