  • Despite my age, I was diagnosed with Glaucoma a few years ago, and have been on some heavy eye medication since, which was really harsh and difficult to take. When I moved to Vaughan, I needed a new optometrist and found Dr Hirji to take a look at my eyes and find out how my glaucoma was progressing. I was hesitant to go to a new doctor, as the one I had I've been with so long, but I can't say enough about Dr Hirji. One of the first things he did was use this machine I've never had used on me before to determine the thickness of my corneas which showed that I naturally have thick corneas which would explain the high pressure levels in my eyes, and that I may not actually have glaucoma as bad as previously diagnosed. Because of this we are pursuing new options for medicating my eyes which is a huge relief for me as those 3 eye drops a day were really killing my eyes and made it hard to function at times. He is very thorough, very good at communicating what's going on, and very professional. So far I'm very happy with his service and happy to be a patient.
