***UPDATE** I'm very pleased with Empire Today! I received rectification by a Resolution Specialist at Corporate! I sincerely appreciate them working with me to resolve this issue. They also told me they addressed the issues with the sub-contractor. Thank you Socorro Lopez for your excellent customer service.
My experience with our Sales Rep Larry was amazing. He was awesome and helped us with suggestions in picking our tile and carpeting. The installers for the tile were great! Efficient, quick, and good quality work. They cleaned up well after themselves.
The carpet installers did a pretty good job on the installation itself. However we had requested and paid for extra people to move a large marble dining room table. They only had 2 people, which was not enough to move the table. This is an extremely heavy table. We reiterated that several times, even when I confirmed the appointment. The carpet installers kept telling us someone was coming to help, but I think they were calling their OWN friends and wanted US to pay an additional $100 cash. We refused. My husband (with a bad back) and pool guy ended up having to help move the table.
The carpet installers damaged a column in my newly painted home. I contacted Empire and although they said they'd take care of getting it fixed for us. They required that I contacted and get THREE estimates for the repair. I personally can't take off work in order to meet three separate contractors and wait for them to arrive (over their 2-3 hour window of time they give you). I don't feel it's MY responsibility to have to take care of this. The cost of me missing work was more than the repair itself was going to cost, so I paid to have it done myself!! Really not impressed with their customer service in this aspect. I have several properties that I am going to need to remodel. I think I'll shop around a bit more. Love Larry though!! He's awesome!!!
