Trying to get medical records. I have taken a number and have been waiting for 25 min...only one number has been called. There seems to only be one airman working the window, two others standing around, and a civilian chit-chatting with those two. I understand there are 4 windows, two of which are for patient admin, but it really looks bad with some standing around doing nothing. After her conversation with the civilian (about 20 min), one airman comes over pushes a button and my number pops up. She says I don't do medical records (release of information was the selection I chose upon check in) and tells me I will have to get back in line and wait. I said but my number was called and she said sorry i will have to transfer your number and he will call you. Thankfully a male airman walked up and told her he would take care of me.
I understand there are occasional wait times but the customer service and perception of laziness (i.e. People standing around talking, hanging up Halloween decorations, etc) leads me to believe that personal agendas and holidays are more important than the clientele. Doesn't look good on the chairforce...
