I have worked in the health care field for over twenty years, and I have never seen such deplorable incompetency and arrogance as in this clinic.
If you care about your health, AVOID this place at all cost!
If you attempt to contact this office, it is hit or miss whether or not you get more than an opportunity to leave voice mail, and you can forget about getting a call back!
Over a year period, I have called an left 7 messages, including to the after hours physician on hand, and to date I have yet to receive 1 call back. Not once have I received a call back!
I was however, left without critical medication for almost a week due to their lack of communication and complete disregard of patient care.
I only found out that my prescription refill was denied by the pharmacy who informed me that I was required to be seen before I could continue a medication that the pharmacist said was life threatening to abruptly stop! Regardless of the fact that I was out of medicine, I still did not receive a call informing me of this action until I went to the pharmacy.
After being without my medication for 2 days, I was lucky enough to get thru to the clinic only to be told that it was mandatory that I be seen every four months, and since it had been about a year, they would not authorize a refill until I was seen.
Never mind that they never informed me of this in the 5 years I have been going there, nor the condescending tone and manner in which they disregarded my health, now they were holding my medication blackmail until I was seen.
So I make an appointment for the following day, making it now 4 days without my medication. On my way to the appointment I receive a message my appointment I'd cancelled due to illness, and still, no they won't authorize a refill.
I implore them with factual data about the necessity of continuing my medication without interruption, yet my health is completely disregarded yet again!
Finally, an hour later I receive a call back saying that a medical assistant would authorize 7 days worth of medicine.
Finally, someone with the training to recognize the medical necessity of the situation.
So I confirm the name, number, and address of the pharmacy that I have been using for the last 6 months, and want them to authorize it at. I also schedule an appointment the following day at their clinic.
So I leave work as soon as possible, approximately 3 hours later, and there has been no prescription authorization.
I called the clinic, only to get the voicemail inbox, and no call back.
Then later in the day, I get a call from the pharmacy I used to use on the other side of the valley wondering why I just had a prescription called in. Really!
So now they are to incompetent to even call the right pharmacy that I verified!
But wait! There's more!
There is no way I can get there before they close, nor can they transfer it over in time to acquire it at my pharmacy.
So yet another day without critical medicine!
Day 5, I get to the clinic, check in, and they attempt to bilk me for nearly 4 times the amount of my copay!!
4 times!
I politely ask them to call the insurance company and correct my copay in their records. 10 minutes later, I am called up and asked for usual copay without anything other than condescension.
The rude condescending attitude continued during my entire visit as I was handed from arrogant to condescending staff until finally, I receive the golden prescription! As I'm leaving, I see it says 30 pills. No Refills!
Really?!?
What an abomination of a joke of " health care"
I'm thinking the licensed care at this office must not have understood any of their oaths and probably never even heard of Hippocrates!!
