About 2 years ago something wonderful yet cruel happened to me. I was given a sample of the Chicken Strips from the Deli. My life has not been the same since. There are no voluntary organizations to assist me in dealing with this problem. I'm on my own here, sunken-eyed, 1000-yard stare and all.
These strips are amazing. Do they compete with Canes? Damn right. Less expensive too. I'm partial to the Honey BBQ sauce they offer when they hand you your order.
Just be careful folks. You can't untaste these strips. There will never again be a time, when you enter Fry's and don't pine for a Pound or Two. It's irreversable. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Also, be aware that all Fry's are NOT equal. The Ambrosia is at the Baseline and Val Vista store. Just there. At Gilbert and Baseline they are old and tough, I would not be surprised if the strips in the Gilbert and Baseline store were carry-overs from 2-days prior. They're like jerky. Val Vista and Warner? Too Salty. Pass.
It's all about the Baseline and Val Vista store. They have the true Chicken Strip game down.
Now that you now this. Now that you are initiated, you'll share my frustration... It takes time-lapse photography to see the Deli personnel work. So frustrating. I have spoken to management on several occasions. I guess I should be thankful. If I had gotten chicken everytime I wanted it (each visit) I would weigh 350 pounds.
Bawk bawk!
