Below is the letter I sent to Sprinkles headquarters. For those of you who line up to get these: WHY??? They get one star for presentation only.
I have shopped for the last time at your Sprinkles location on Scottsdale Rd & Camelback in Scottsdale (Saturday March 26, 2016). This is not the first time I've purchased there, and that 1st time was no better. I thought I would give the place one more chance.
I ordered 4 cupcakes (all different). Each one looked lovely, but the taste was disappointing. The dome/tops of all cupcakes were hard and dry and simply disguised with icing. The inner part of each cupcake was crumbly and dry. I could barely swallow it!
This was on day one of eating them (most of each cupcake was thrown away). Bravo to you to have the public duped, but for those of us who can bake, these cupcakes barely pass the Hostess rank. How can you sell such dried out, obviously past their prime, cupcakes for almost $4 a piece and get away with it?
I've made better cupcakes with a Duncan Hines box mix and my own buttercream frosting. I can even taste the preservatives in your cupcakes. NEVER AGAIN.
