  • FYI, NEVER stay Camden Bel Air, especially under new management. I've lived here for close to 4 years, and never had a problem until recently. Tell me who else thinks this is ridiculous? Please let me know if you know anyone who can help me with legal proceedings. Here's the deal, my company pays my base rent, I pay the water/sewage etc. and tech fee. Before, all I had to do was wait until my company check went through online, then I paid whatever was left over around the 28th/29th. Recently (September 28) my company sent in a check per usual, Camden called to let me know it came in, but they could not process it because they don't do partial payments anymore (but I was also told this was always policy?) Anyway, I said fine, I can put the money in that night(apparently they can accept my partial payment, but not my companies?). I wasn't able to that night but I did put the rest of the money in on 9/30, and saw online that mine was processed(again, my money A PARTIAL PAYMENT went through). Today, I get a message saying I'm overdue on my rent and I owe 90-some dollars on top of my rent! I try to talk to management saying it was confirmed they had my rent from my company. I was told, yeah, they did, but after 24 hours they sent it back. This was never explained prior that they'd only hold it 24 hours, and bonus, they didn't send it back to my company, they sent it to me, and never even informed me that that's what they did with my company check! So now they are charging me past due amounts because they cannot adequately communicate with me. Their inadequacy and inefficiency cost ME money. I'M OUT OF HERE AS SOON AS I CAN. DONE. So much for 3+ years of loyalty... Update: They waived the overdue fees and accepted my money after plenty of phone calls and trying to track down corporate office people. So thank you for that. Had more difficulty with miscommunication when I wanted to move out. I'll try to make it short. I told an office person in person that I wanted to move out at the end of my lease when I got the notice to renew my lease (plenty of time before the 60 day notice). Got another notice a few weeks later telling me to renew. Called and said I told them I didn't want to renew, and they said it had to be in writing, but now I didn't give enough notice, so I have to pay more in order to get out of my lease. Yes, I should've have noticed in the fine print it says in writing, but you think when I tell an office person I want out, they'd say "okay, go ahead and write us" or even a "don't forget you have to give written notice." Something that could've taken 2 seconds cost me even more money. So no, Camden residence, I do not call you home anymore. I finally moved out around Thanksgiving. Good luck to anyone who chances with them.
