| - I went here Monday night with girlfriend's Cuban family with high expectations because someone recommended it to us. Exterior was very fancy, and beachy. The restaurant is bigger than I thought with many sections.
I scrolled through Yelp to search for references of what to order. My family end up ordered Cheese Curds (cheese stuffed fried yucca) Jamaican Jerky Chicken, Seafood Paellas, a stack of Short Ribs BBQ, Cheddar Burger and fries sweet plantain. We loved the Cheese Curds. They were crunchy, cheese oozed delicious. We ended up with two orders of that. The Jamaican Jerky Chicken was delicious, the portion was huge! Half a chicken grilled with special sauce and yellow rice with fried sweet plantains. The plantains were thick cut and fried to perfection. We Cubans loved it. The Seafood Paellas were not that great. The consistency wasn't really true Paella but the flavor was there. The seafood wasn't as fresh, mussels slightly overcooked, though fish was flaky and cooked well. Paellas weren't impressive, average, but portion was also very big! Each can easily feed two people. My sister-in-law's burger was good (you can't go wrong with burger they should all taste how they should taste). My BBQ ribs were ok, again, they tasted just like how should taste. Sweet and smokey. There wasn't any special twist or spin added onto it.
Overall the experience was meh. With the bill $120 in total, we expected more. It was filling but wasn't satisfying. I heard good things about it, but maybe we ordered the wrong things because everything was just ok.
