  • My issue isn't with the local REI, but with REI in general. Their shipping policy sucks, to put it lightly. I would way rather use Amazon than REI, and I'm a co-op member with REI, when needing something shipped. My wife tried to ship something and it was determined that it was "oversized." The dimensions were 31.5" x 14.2" x 4.3" and weighs 3 lbs. What would've cost them $5 to ship, they tried to charge $35 for. We bought it from Amazon instead and got it with free shipping and a little cheaper. Thank goodness for Amazon.
