  • Run-a-way. I've been to House of Lords a few times over the years and each time has been horrible. The music is so loud that it's difficult to communicate with the stylists. I've never gotten the hair cut I asked for. Some of the stylists have BO. Plus, they don't sanitize their tools properly... and it's pretty scary. It seems to be a place for new stylists to get their feet wet. Don't let them practice on you. By the way--if you can always get in straight away when you walk in off the street, that should be a clue. Good stylists are booked with regular clients days (or weeks) in advance. I think this place survives based on clueless people who walk in off the street.
