AMC 24 Yonge & Dundas is a half-assed cinema.
I'm average height, just over 6', and I have a hard time getting comfortable in the seats. Scotiabank Theatre plays a 20-minute pre-show to entertain the audience while AMC just runs a giant red screen with the AMC logo. Its so distracting, I end up staring at the screen as if there's a subliminal picture hidden in it but the more I stare the more my eyes go fuzzy. It's odd.
The concession stand is second-rate. The popcorn is pre-bagged, which makes me think it's their way of cutting corners by only having to pop it in the morning. It also bothers me that they sell those 'inbetween' size bags of candy, which to me are just small amounts of candy poured into a larger bag and sealed.
Good luck finding move show times online. The official website isn't even one of the top five hits to come up first on a search engine. You have to dig a little to find the movie show times, which to me is just bad marketing.
