| - Sure there aren't many famous franchised coffee shops like Intelligentsia Coffee and Stumptown Coffee in Las Vegas, but you can still find some high quality coffee shops like Desert Wind Coffee Roasters in the middle of this dessert-like environment.
The drive to the Desert Wind Coffee Roasters is approximately 20 ~ 30 minutes (about 7 miles local drive) from the Strip and all you will find is a front sign labeled "Coffee Roaster". Easy and free parking within the plaza.
Desert Wind Coffee Roasters has some of the sweetest & friendliest staff and I even engaged in a small talk with one of the staff. With this kind of passionate service, I have no doubt it will build up royal followers within this community. The staff will customize your coffee to your liking, but I am just a casual coffee drinker and I typically drink whatever the coffee the shop is known for.
Menu: There's a "Breaking Bad" theme espresso menu (e.g. Liquid Breaking Bad, the Heisenberg, the Walter White, the Jesse, the Gustavo, and the Flynn). Classic espressos and lattes are also available.

The Walter White (the Heisenberg [double espresso chocolate & caramel] + half & half, $3.95): This order was recommended by the staff. It was definitely a pretty strong coffee. Not very foamy & not very sweet, but overall it was a very solid espresso.
***
I like Sunrise Coffee slightly better than Desert Wind Coffee Roasters and I can't exactly say the Walter White was the best coffee I've had, but service is superb and Desert Wind's coffees are just as good as other top 25% coffees I've tried in Los Angeles.
