  • Ever since we first stayed here, right after it opened, we will stay no where else. I come to Vegas frequently with my kids, and having the 2 rooms and the TWO bathrooms, is a big deal.. especially with a teenage daughter aka bathroom hog. This is an all suite hotel, its a great Vegas experience. When you walk in, its dead quiet, like a normal Hotel. There is a nice bar you pass on the way to check in, some pool tables, a bakery. There is some tripped out 7 dwarves picture on the wall behind the check out counter. The Cafe is right when you walk in also, its good. I like their food and their breakfast. The bathrooms right there are nice also, but its dark in there. Request a 'V' room, I think that is what its called, its a room on the end, with a fairly panoramic view of the strip from the bedroom. The room itself is a little smaller because the shape is rounded to the outside, but if you are facing Luxor and the strip, its SO SO worth. Its a gorgeous view. I can't always get this room because its only big enough for one bed, and with the kids, we need 2 bed. Be careful not to have your room close to MIX, their restaurant/bar, you will hear screaming/lauging/talking people all night, and its irritating. If you don't plan on being in your room, no big deal, but I actually sleep in my room and being by MIX only happened to me once. There are some rooms at THE Hotel that are not the same as others, meaning worse than others, with smaller bathrooms etc... you don't get a price break for those, and unless you are last minute, or don't care, do not accept them. And NOTHING by the elevator. Its too loud. The beds here are my favorite. I never want to wake up, nice sheets, nice pillows. Flat screen in the bathroom, bedroom and living room. There is a dvd player in the living room. The tub is huge with a water fall faucet, the shower is huge and seperate from the tub, double sinks ( if you don't have all this, you are in one of their cruddy small rooms ). The bath products are awesome, they have a very unique smell. We hide all of ours every day so we get new stuff when housekeeping comes. You can also buy the lotion/soap etc.. in the gift shop. Their oatmeal bar soap is SUPERB. I have 6 bars in my closet right now, and I dole it out carefully. Aside from THE hotel having great rooms, we stay here for Mandalay Bay's great pool. They also have really good restaurants. I wish this place was further down the strip,,, but oh well.
