  • If I could give this place no stars I would. Our family hired them - Tom - the owner, in September of 2014 because we wanted safe, reliable transportation for our father. At the beginning, they were just okay...often getting the pick up time wrong. Then, for a while, it was great. My Dad had a regular driver, Chuck, who took really good care of him. When Chuck wasn't available, his wife would often fill in. Unfortunately, Chuck got ill and he was not able to drive. Often, because Chuck was ill, his wife was not available either...that's when it got bad. TMS was always late, sometimes my father was kept waiting over an hour for a ride. He was often late for doctor's appointments. When we moved into a condo with an elevator, they would often just leave him at the curb to make his own way up to our unit. Because no one was there to help him navigate getting his walker through the door - he fell and could not get up. Luckily, he had his cell phone and could call me. I left work immediately, but it was still 30 minutes he was laying on the floor. There was always an excuse - but never an apology. The driver's were quitting, they wrote down the wrong information. So, let's be clear...my Dad had a regular schedule. He went to the Senior Center 3 days per week. A pick up and drop off...the schedule was always the same - it's not like he changed it up every day. The schedule was set...not like he called and needed a ride at the last minute. Doctor's appointments are few and in between, and also with a lot of notice....but apparently not enough for TMS...they could not get anything right. Today was the last straw. The called Dad on Monday and told him they had no driver for him on Tuesday - supposedly another driver quit. They promised him they would have someone for Wednesday. My 91 year old father gets up, gets himself dressed, eats his breakfast and is waiting to be picked up. No one shows. When he calls to find out where the driver is, he is told that there is no driver coming, and they are "tired of his complaining and he can go find himself another driver". Yes. That is what they told him. Please keep in mind that this is a SENIOR TRANSPORT company. A company that is supposed to specialize in transporting our seniors with a little care and dignity. Also bear in mind that this is not an UBER kind of deal. We pay a PREMIUM to have this service - it is NOT cheap. TMS treated my father with such disrespect that I cannot let it goI immediately called them, but they were too cowardly to answer the phone. I emailed them, but they cannot answer an email either, so my only recourse is to get the word out about their TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service. If you have an elderly loved one who needs some transportation in and around Charlotte, you would best be served finding someone OTHER THAN TMS Senior Transport. Oh - and please pass this information on to everyone you know...maybe then they will learn a lesson - but I doubt it. They are a bunch of LOSERS!
