First off I couldn't agree with Rhonda more with her review on the service department. Customer service is last in that department.
In 2011 I bought a 2012 sonata. I really enjoyed the car and the salesmen was nice to work with. About 6 months later I began having alignment issues and it was going far off to the right. I had received a service attention in the mail on this issue so decided to bring it in to get resolved. After they "attempted" to fix this, it actually made the alignment much worse and veered way to the left. They assured me everything was fine and something with the torque steering made the alignment like this. They looked at it again and put me in a another car for the day and Vince told me to make sure I filled the gas back up full when I brought it back. Funny thing was, he gave me a car with a quarter tank of gas in it! That still makes me laugh to this day. A couple months later my left tire was so worn down that I needed a new tire. I was disappointed in the service managers at Keffer for not identifying that issue with my alignment and vouched to never take to their service dept again.
I traded that sonata in for an elantra because I really did not trust the car anymore with the alignment issue. I felt like this was a dangerous car being on the road. I know Keffer sold that sonata to another customer and I feel bad for that person getting a car with all these alignment issues. (If you search different websites, Hyundai had a lot of issues with 2011-2012 sonatas with alignments. Keffer though will never acknowledge that).
This summer 2013, I had to sell my elantra because I got a job where they provided a vehicle. I did like the elantra much better and the alignment was night and day. In July I went to sell the elantra back to Keffer. They offered me a price and I decided to hold on to the car for a bit longer. The price was somewhat fair but not great. When they called me back about two months later and asked if I still had my elantra I replied yes and asked to sell it back to them again. Before I brought it in I asked my sales person if she would honor the price they offered me earlier this summer. She replied Yes. I set up an appt with her in September and when I came in to meet her she was not in that day. I worked with another salesmen and he offered me $1500 below what she promised to give me. A manager came into the conflict and of course sided with his salesmen. It was like working with two different businesses because the sales lady offered me one price and the two other Keffer employees offered me another.
Point of the story is, I question this businesses credibility. How can you say you will buy my car for one price and then offer me a low ball price when I come into sell? My family and I have bought four or five cars from this dealership in the last four years! and what have they done for us?? What a hassle and ordeal it has been these last two years!
