  • Folks we have a winner here for pizza. With the authentic Italian pizza scene heating up in Toronto for a few years this place hits the 850 degree mark in my book for the best Italian pizza in Toronto! The dough is cooked just to the right amount of crisp, the sauce doesn't overwhelm with sweet or sour notes, the cheese and other ingredients are spot on. Now for some background I recall my only exposure to this spot was I had a cappuccino here eons ago and the place was much smaller and they had a dark cozy feel. I made a mental note to visit them but it never came to fruition. Now they have expanded and the decor has changed to an airy portofino look (blue tiles substituting for the Italian Riviera). The service is decent and their non pizza offerings looked enticing as well. I will be back for the pizza for sure and might even try the tasting or prix fix. 4.5 stars for the pizza.
