| - I really didn't want to come here, because I really despise going to Station Square. On top of that I'm not a big meat eater but my brother has been dying to try this place so I went. The place was packed which you would think is a good sign but since the majority of people seem to think that fine dining IS a chain restaurant, that didn't tell me much.
You have two options you can either do the salad bar on its own or you can have the salad bar with the meat courses - they have traveling servers who make their way around the dining room with various meat options to offer diners who have ordered full service. Each person gets a small card with green on one side and red on the other. Green means that you want meat (or ordered the meat in addition to the salad bar), red means no more meat, and no card means you just ordered the salad bar.
I opted to just go for the salad bar as there was a lot of interesting options available from fresh veggies and cheeses to shrimp, pastas, and salads. They also had some hot bar items like lobster bisque, roasted potatoes, etc. My brother and his girlfriend decided to each get the meat with the salad bar, but it ended up that neither of them ate much meat because the salad bar had so much to offer. Overall the food was good, but it just didn't knock my socks off.
Our server also charged me for the meat option when I only had the salad bar and it was a little bit of a hassle to get it fixed and mostly that was just annoying given that I'd had a conversation with her about my choice prior to making my decision to just go with the salad bar. Also, the meat servers kept reaching over me to serve meat to others at the table, which was incredibly annoying and also simply lacking proper serving etiquette. It was a typical "fancy" chain restaurant experience. I can't say that I'd race back there again, but I wouldn't object to going there, though I know that given it's location at Station Square that they will not have any trouble staying busy. If you really LOVE meat, then this really is the place for you, but if you just "like" meat and the thought of eating pounds of it to get your money's worth then you might be better off going somewhere else.
