| - Food is mediocre and overpriced. The food would get a better review on this end if they priced it better. Moreover, the food is just nothing new...very underwhelming would be the best way to describe it.
The coffee is very strong even if you get medium roast. I am personally not a fan but I know many people that love dark roasts and I'm more of a light roast person. So in this category, I would say try it. A small coffee is like $2; you'll like it or not and then move on.
Their espresso is an interesting experience depending on the day. I don't know if it's their machine getting old or if the machine isn't being taken care of but either way, very very inconsistent.
The staff have always been very nice, which is the only reason I continue to visit the store. Whoever hires sure has a thing for young adults on visas from foreign countries. Over the past several years I have met people from Australia, Ethiopia, New Zealand, Italy, England, Scotland, Columbia, and many others. All very lovely people but they all soon disappear. I don't know if they're visas are super short if theirs something going on in management.
As I cannot rate in terms of categories I will make my own scale here:
Food = C+/B-
Coffee = B
Espresso = C+
Latte Art = B (for those instagramers; depends on the day)
Cute foreigners with accents = A+
Chatty and Happy Staff = A (Let's get real, they're the only reason I still visit)
