My wife, 3 children and myself just returned from a weekend in Pittsburgh and stayed at this Days Inn. I can sum this hotel up in one word: Gross. I know some say you get what you pay for, but after spending $184 for the weekend I deserved more than I got. When we arrived we started calling other hotels just from the look of this place. Turns out we would have been charged for a one night stay because of their cancellation policy requiring a 24 hour notice. In addition, the cleaning ladies were sitting on a bench outside the office smoking. The elevator was also out of service. The room reeked of stale cigarettes, there was mildew in the too high tub, the carpet had waves in it, the box springs were left bare and the whole room was just unclean. On Sunday morning as we were preparing to leave the fire alarm was going off. I called the front desk and asked if there was a fire and if we should evacuate and was told no. That's it...."no". No explanation or apology. That alarm sounded on and off as we prepared to leave. NEVER AGAIN!! Wish I could give negative stars.
