We "inherited" Suburban Propane when we purchased a new home. After three years our fill ups were 300+/- which seemed high for propane that fueled the hot water tank, stovetop, and dryer. Come to find out, a competitor's rates were 40% cheaper than Suburban Propane. That is not a typo, folks. We closed our account nearly 4 months ago. Settling our account has not been easy. They apparently do not want to pay us the 10 months of tank rent owed us. They also tried to assess us more tank rent AFTER our account was closed. Three conversations resulted in confirmation that we were owed money and would pay us, yet they still have not followed through. We are now with Vegas Propane and so far, so good. ***As of 11/15/16, we have received our credit balance and our account is finally settled.***
