| - The line-up was too long at the Blue Star Diner, so we thought we'd try this cafe next door.
Seemed quaint at the start, self-service and all. We ordered at the till, it came to $31.00, which was fine for a brekky panini and a benny, 1 juice and 2 coffees. When it came, however, the portions were tiny. The benny came with hash browns, but it was served on a side plate? My panini was just a toasted sandwich. That is all. $31.00 for that, and we had to serve ourselves?!!
The benny was fresh and yummy, the hash browns were seasoned beautifully. The panini I could have easily made at home, although the bread was nice.
The 'server' did come once with coffee, but you have to hop up and get more cream at the counter. Kinda lame. I was thinking 3 stars, but after writing this out, I'm thinking 2 at most. There are far better cafes than this. Don't waste your time...
