There used to be a standard of customer service that was bar none, the best in Phoenix. That is no longer the case. I am saddened to discover that shopping at AJ's, is quite honestly, exactly like shopping and any other grocery store, only worse, because somehow the staff feels comfortable speaking down to clientele, while having the gall to ask you to pay 50% more. Never had it happen before but after driving 15 minutes past my normal grocery store on New Years Day and being rudely assaulted (it was literally astounding how hostile the bakery staff was!) it will take me a while to whip up the urge to go back.
