| - tina's nite club is my favorite place in cleveland. about once a month, i try to make it to tina's for a night of karaoke and dancing. billy wayne, the friday & saturday karaoke DJ, knows me by name. i tip him, so he is always happy to see me when i go. he may also appreciate that i am one of about 4 people on earth who can understand what he says. oh, he also says things to me like, "hey girl, where have you been?" my heart really melts for that. during the week, little lou is the karaoke dj. he is freaking adorable and wonderful as well.
jello shots are 3 for $1. buy $5 worth and walk around the bar looking like a baller. i think the most expensive alcohol at tina's is grey goose - $4, last time i checked. oh, and i know because they write the prices right on the bottle. maybe a bit gauche, but incredibly helpful.
the guy bartender is nice. there is a woman who works there who is a lot less nice, but she seems really unhappy so i guess i feel bad for her. tina's clientele is extremely diverse and that is part of the reason why it's so great. i've never had a problem with anyone there, and in general, the people are really friendly and outgoing. some suburbanites might be frightened by tina's "grit" but people are just people.
tina's can get overly-packed on the weekend with obnoxious bro-types (which annoys me quite a bit) but more often than not, it's the best time around.
