I'm no custard aficionado, but I enjoyed my chocolate cone at Rosati's. Compared to some ice cream places I've been to more recently--Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Cold Stone, and (groan) Baskin Robbins--I enjoyed the richness and creaminess of Rosati's chocolate custard over what I had at those places. Unfortunately, it's been a very long time (like 20+ years) since I've been to East Coast Original Frozen Custard in Parma Heights, so I can't do a custard-to-custard comparison.
For a $3 medium cone, you get quite a bit of custard--I would probably opt for the smaller size next time. The layout of the store itself is pretty spartan: There are a couple of tables inside and some tables and benches outside so you can look across Lorain and wonder why Buybacks covers up its windows.
