| - Interesting hipster burgers! I got the Rising Sun while Bryan got the Steakhouse Burger.
Rising Sun ($18.50): Kobe beef, teriyaki glaze, nori furikake, crispy yam, spicy mayo, tempura avocado
--Wow! Unique burger that confused our taste buds. One minute we think we're eating Japanese food, and then reminded again that it's a burger! Kobe beef was juicy and cooked perfectly. I liked the crunchy textures provided by crispy yam and tempura avocado. There was a mixture of flavors but not overwhelming: sweet (teriyaki), savory (mayo) and salty (furikake).
Steakhouse Burger ($18.50): black pepper beef patty, mixed greens, creamy steak sauce, tomato confit, marmalade onions, wild mushrooms, Swiss cheese
--This one was closer to a classic tasting burger. It was like eating steak in burger form. The patty was thick! Bryan added pickles ($1).
Popcorn (free) made for a fun appetizer that's different from the norm. The fries (comes with each burger) were amazing, super crispy! We were too full from our huge burgers to finish the fries, sadly. I'd recommend the Rising Sun as it's one of a kind!
