| - For my 300th review, I'm going to write about this place. Boy, do I love Nathan Philips Square! During my 7 days stay in Toronto, I came here 3 different days. I seems I'm not alone with my love for the Square. Many locals and tourists hang out here. If you want to take pictures with less crowd, you need to come here 6am or 1am. Another tourist from the hostel and I came here around 1:30am and there were still a fair amount of people present but not crazy crowded.
One thing that stood out for me from other people's experiences is that I got to witness how nice and helpful the people who work at the Square are. The other tourist and I came here 11pm, took some pictures, walked around, and left. After grabbing some crepes and heading to the hostel to eat and talk, at 1:30am, she noticed she did not have her phone. She was panicking. For some strange reason, she decided to check her email. And there it was, an email from the security guard at the Square saying they have the phone and to call the front desk to schedule to pick it up. We called the number. She said we can come in the morning to pick it up but the girl was leaving 7am. So she told us to come now at 2am and to ring the bell. We got there, they opened the door, and gave the phone to her. The best part of this, the girl's phone was set to Korean. The security guard managed to get to the setting to change it to English and went into her gmail to send an email. The two security guards went above and beyond. In US, the phone would have just been placed in "Lost and Found" box until someone claims it. Canadians, you guys are awesome!!
