  • The new Ripley's aquarium is a great addition to the Toronto downtown tourist area, and even Torontonians themselves should check it out! We purchased our tickets in advance and were able to walk right in. I would recommend doing this.... When we left the ticket purchase line was significant. It takes some patience to get up front to all of the exhibits, so don't go if you're in a huge hurry. I loved the opportunities for interactivity, including the moving walkway through the shark tank. They didn't cheap out! This is a good 10 to 15 minute journey with tanks beside and above you, with really cool sharks, rays and turtles. There is also a huge ray tank, and at the end of the experience you end up at the top of the tank with the opportunity to pet them as they swim freely about. There are interactive tanks with horseshoe crabs and sharks to touch as well. If you're lucky, you may see some of the creatures being fed. We saw the sea horses get their prawns, and it was really cool. Totally worth the money in my opinion, but I agree with others, it would probably be no fun on a holiday or weekend when it is completely packed!
