| - This is one of the prettiest spots in town and I do love it. There are a variety of pools to choose from including an adults only pool, which is small but nice to not have kids running around.
The staff was hospitable and the breakfast in the morning was excellent! I highly suggest the huevos rancheros for sure! I also am a huge fan of the Mbar's happy hour. $5 wine, beer, sangria and they have the best hummus platter on earth. Delish!
This is a huge property and they do offer golf cart service to get you around and in the hot summer months, it's a must.
The resort has salsa classes, wine tastings, bocce ball tournaments, etc. Since you have to pay a $25 resort fee (don't get me started on how bogus that crap is), I'd use them since you pay for them! ;)
I'm docking a point because of the loudness from the rooms. Good lord we were woken up at 8:30 by housekeeping. On a Saturday. Oh hell no. THEN we tried to go back to sleep and had to listen to housekeeping slam doors in the hallway, pound on doors and listen to them scream "housekeeping!" every 5 minutes. It was beyond obnoxious. SHUT the doors please and don't slam them, people are sleeping. While yes you do have to knock before entering, is it required to scream in the hallway? We were beyond irritated.
Other than the loud wake up, our room was fantastic. Amazingly huge soaking tub, walk in shower and gorgeous patio.
We did have to call and ask for robes which we found odd. What 5 star property doesn't have robes in the room?
Our Keurig was also broken and when I called to ask about it it was suggested that we call room service. We did, but then we were charged for the coffee. Um, we wanted to make our OWN coffee but couldn't. Having to pay for the coffee ? Huh?
In all, this is a gorgeous place but just a few things were a bit off.
