  • My best friend and I decided to escape Chicagoland for the weekend and head to Madison. After completing a tour of the state capital we asked where to go for lunch to get a authentic Wisconsin experience. Having already been to some more expensive restaurants in the area we decided on State Street Brats. I was able to indulge myself with a brat and cheese curds while my friend got a chicken sandwich. The food was ok nothing spectacular. It is a typical bar on a large college campus. I will be back to Madison but next time will try to avoid the whole State St crowd.
