There is no reason or justification for what this theater charges in comparison with other theaters in Arizona. It's absurd. Harkins shut down the original Camelview theater and opened this monstrosity for absolutely no reason. Yes, it has upgraded leather recliners, but the seats themselves are not comfortable when you compare them to the leather recliners at AMC and Cinemark, both of which charge less for a ticket than this theater. It is also frustrating that most indie and art house films play here, adding an unnecessary financial wall for those that want non-mainstream cinema. Sure, they have a cafe and bar, but I don't see how that justifies the increased ticket price. As a lover of cinema I come this theater to see films I simply can't see anywhere else, but I can't recommend it. Harkins should be ashamed.
