  • Four stars for ambiance, three stars for food, and about one to two stars on the service. Been here many times, mostly because the location is convenient and the food isn't bad. The sandwiches are a solid choice, good daily drink specials. I've had a couple entrĂ©es there and wasn't blown away. Last night, I ordered the arroz con pollo. It was super spicy, but not very flavorful. The rice was kind of gummy, in a thick, starchy red sauce more reminiscent of Chinese food than Spanish cuisine. After my food was brought out, a long period of time elapsed before anyone asked if everything was satisfactory, or would I like another drink, etc. And that's been consistent with past experiences there. Young and cute doesn't always equal competent and courteous, unfortunately. Not sure the point of a host/hostess stand when no one greets you upon arriving or leaving the establishment. I want to support the gay community here in Phoenix, and downtown businesses. But I'm more likely, at this point, to dine somewhere with consistently excellent food and service. There's too much competition for mediocre places to survive.
