  • For some reason this restaurant shows up under two different places on Yelp!, so I figured I'd also review it under this entry as well. Earlier this week, I made my first visit to this place on the advice of a colleague of mine, since it is nearby our workplace. I have to say it was beyond expectation in just about every way and I can't wait to go back again. I also can't believe what I've been missing all this time! The decor and ambiance are both really nice, as the place is cozy, quaint and quiet but definitely not a hole in the wall. It doesn't feel at all pretentious or phony and is, in fact, about as authentic for Mediterranean food and surroundings as you're going to get in greater Phoenix. Their lunch specials are all very well priced and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. I've also had their appetizers and the humus and baba are both exceptional. They also have a wonderful yogurt dip for your pita that is savory and spot-on. The gyro sandwich that I had was absolutely perfect, the tenderness, consistency and the portions were all spot on and flavor was wonderful. The service was excellent, with refills never taking too long and food coming out faster than expected, both of which are huge pluses. I really cannot recommend this place enough and if you're in the area you absolutely have to give it a try. I will definitely be back for lunch in the near future and maybe dinner as well.
