  • I had the best car rental experience ever with Alamo. This came as a pleasant surprise to me, seeing that I went with them because their one way rental quote was significantly less (like by $100) than other companies I considered. From the start, things went well. Online check in was very easy to do and I was able to use my iPad to show my record of confirmation. I am not a fan of pre check ins that require a printout simply because I'm never around a printer at the time. Using my iPad was much more convenient for me. Despite renting over a busy weekend, the whole car rental process took less than 15 minutes. The agent at the counter wasn't at all pushy when it came to selling upgrades or add ons. I typically know what I need ahead of time and find it pretty annoying when I'm offered lots of things I don't need. This wasn't the case here. I got exactly what I reserved. The car was clean and worked great - no problems there either. Returning the vehicle was just as easy. Every time I've ever tried to rent a car it's always been a hassle since I don't use credit cards or have auto insurance. I have motorcycle insurance, but this is typically an issue with most companies - Alamo worked with me on that and found a solution that wasn't outrageously expensive. They had no problem holding my deposit on my debit card. All this stuff made renting from Alamo very quick and painless. I will definitely be using them again.
