It is truly an early bird who catches a worm as the saying goes. My guess is that they've consumed some of the amazing eats from this gem of a restaurant while on the prowl.
On a recent visit with my Dad we ended up here back to back days during the trip and our only complaint was that the food was so scrumptious here that it pained us to leave the remains of the unconsumed on the plate. You certainly can share without embarrassment here as the portions (on most items) are enough to feed an army!
Before I get into the main attraction I do want to point out from top to bottom the staff here. Once again they are beyond inviting and the genuine care they portray to each table of patrons is a staple that they are well worth the 5 star rating from not just myself, but the other masses as well who choose to dine within those walls. I really feel so at home there and that is a special gift!
For day #1 I had my heart set on trying something different so I went for the red velvet chocolate chip pancakes. Those are a MUST if you have a craving for a "short" stack, but there is nothing short about that stack by any means. I was served 4 huge battered circular halos and with literal chunks of chocolate chips how can you go wrong? They were quite fluffy overall and the after taste of chocolate in each bite partnered with the cream cheese syrup it comes partnered with left me feeling like I was sharing a sunrise with Willy Wonka in the chocolate factory!
For day #2 I scaled it back a bit and devoured the pot of bread and the three egg breakfast with bacon on the side. It was simplistic in nature with just eggs, hash browns, and bacon however even in a simple form the food is still on point. The bacon (being the high point) was crispy and had a slight smoky tint to it that elevated it to a whole other level. I actually had a full on body shake because it was so amazing!
With top notch consistent hospitality, this is by far my #1 breakfast destination when I am in the area and it's been fun to watch the growing cult following they are getting as time goes on. To keep it simple, people know what's up!
