  • If I could give it a 0 I would too. The service is appallingly slow and over priced. They should call it Feebe (as in feeble) not Fibe. Our internet speed has been worse than normal for a couple of days now and they were NOT helpful on the phone tonight. After wasting half an hour while someone with an accent I could barely understand tried to explain to me that 15/10 service doesn't really mean that down load speed is 15 and upload is 10 it really means that every now and then, if you're lucky, you might hit 15/10 for a few seconds I gave up, and hung up. The phone service is even worse, I pay over $30 a month for a line in the 905 exchange so everything is long distance. For that price I have no voice mail or call display and if I should happen to dial a long distance number (as in a phone 10 miles away) I get charged a flat fee of $2.50 and then some exorbitant fee per minute after that. Yesterday the line was so dirty with noise it was completely unusable. None of this is really very surprising because if I had looked before I bought I would have noticed that there is no fiber optic line associated with my Fibe service. The service is coming into my apartment on the same crappy telephone wire that was run into this place when they built it 40 years ago. Speaking of phone lines, the installer was another story, when we complained about the slow speed we were getting when it was being installed this genius picked up the modem and put it in the window and told us that the "reception" is always better in the window in cement high rise buildings. Now bear in mind this cracker jack installer has just plugged the modem into the wall jack with a cable. I wonder what they thought the purpose of that was if the signal is coming in the window. Complete idiots each and every one of them. We wanted Rogers - unfortunately they don't happen to service our area - but we live in hope.
