I was waiting for "WOW!" -- I really was after the rec I got from a cute little Japanese lady who runs a local market in town and also the number of Yelp reviews. I was, unfortunately, not WoWed after my meal. It's not to say my meal was bad.... it just wasn't the "WOW!" I was expecting. We experimented with the sashimi (uni and giant clam -- neither of which were all that spectacular or fresh), the sushi (the Japanese Lasagna was pretty good... but I was not as thrilled with the 911, Dejavu or the Kamikaze), and the hot food (the NZ Mussels are FABULOUS.... but their tempura chef's special left much to be desired.... it was SEEPING in oil. I'm gagging just thinking about it...). Their sake list was nice, as was the decor and the comp dessert we got when they found out we were celebrating my man's b-day in advance. For slightly more $$, I would head to Sen (see my previous reviews) down the street for a much better meal.
