| - Celebrating my wife's bday, we decided to take a stroll thru the Latin Quarter and see what would look interesting. We've always been a fan of tapas-style cuisine (vietnamese = do an nhau), so this seemed to be a perfect little place for food and drinks.
Upon entering, the place is decorated in a very modern, lounge-type atmosphere, which was fine with us. It was quite busy and no avail seating; however, we offered seating at the bar, which also was fine. Our bartender/waitress (cindy) was extremely nice and helpful, which made for a pleasant evening. For the meals we had:
-Mushroom soup - excellent
-Mini-Burger Trio - one each of Lamb, Duck, and Veg - excellent
-Carpaccio Duo - Beef and Deer - excellent
-Foie Gras of the Week - Walnut seared with maple syrup - a little on the salty side, so execution was not there, but idea was - good
-Creme Brulee Trio - excellent.
It was just really nice to be able to sit and enjoy the drinks and a variety of foods w/o getting bloated on a big greasy plate of whatever. We would definitely come back on our next trip to Montreal.
