| - The food here is really good. There is a focus on atmosphere here, which pays itself off when combined with solid food offerings.
Where So-Cal Fish Taco Company shines is how it prepares its dish, clearly doing the research on tasting. The tacos are delightful, the flavors a journey of its own. The initial bite has you tasting well-marinated fish and the finish has you tasting the kick of well-mixed homemade salsa.
Service was rad, attentive, yet non-intrusive. Drinks were to be expected of a low-key seafood place with hipster music playing in the background.
Why dock a star then?
PORTIONS. Oh man, how small the portions were. If you're shelling out over $10 for a plate of tacos, do you really expect only two little tiny tacos? Man, if the flavors weren't good, I'd bring the review down to 3 stars.
Keep this in mind, I'm going to keep the negatives short on this review, but just note that if you were in Seattle, $12 for a plate of tacos would go MUCH further for the portions you get.
