  • I was persuaded to change grocery stores because of their new Scan and Go checkout system. It was supposed to make shopping faster. Issues I've had are that when you void an item, meaning you want to remove it from your cart, an attendant will have to check your purchases at self checkout and scan a few items. The next time I used it, it was taking a long time after scanning an item saying "Retrying" and "Please wait...". I waited about 3 minutes for one item before I just returned the Scan and Go up front. I noticed there were at least 20 other Scan and Go's stuck on the "Retrying" screen. Obviously then I didn't pick up another to scan all my items over again, big waste of time. I came back to look about ten minutes later and mine and the rest were still stuck.
